From the Desk of the Pastor - HELP!

Help! Help! Do we really want help? Help can be so frustrating. They never seem to get it together do they? In fact sometimes you know that you could get the job done better and faster without help. Help always want to add some of themselves into the mix, don’t they? The word help does refer to giving assistance or support to, to make more pleasant or bearable. The word help implies to relieve or to rescue, to get (oneself) out of a difficulty. The word help suggest to be use to benefit or even to further the advancement of, promote. The word help interjects emphasis on to change for the better, to appropriate for the use of (oneself or others), to be of use or benefit and even to supply what is needed to accomplish an end. The word help carries with it a strong implication of advance toward an objective, aid, or a source of aid.
But do you know what the definition did not say,” Better off without it”? Do you understand what it did say? It said, “Assistance, aid, support and rescue.” Do you know that until we use our help we have not used all of our strength? And until we realize where our help comes from we won’t depend upon our help.
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall not slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. From what Psalm 121 tells us, I don’t think that the same God that will not allow our to be more from safety and that keeps a continuous watch over would permit an evil help to come near us. I sure that the same God who would overshadow the process of our righteousness and won’t even allow the sun or the moon to strike us would not invite a help that would take away from us. In fact Our Lord said that He prevent all evil from coming near and preserve our soul. Hey! Do you think the one whom is preserve the way you go and come would be likely to sent incompetent help.
Check out the source of your help! Our help doesn’t come from our enemies or our friends. It does not come from Lottie, Dottie or anybody. Our help come from the Lord. Even Adam did not know what he needed but God did and gave to him accordingly.
Stop refusing your help. Oh, it is not what you expected but it is what you need in order to be supported, assisted, aided and even rescued. Lift up your eyes and see where your help come from not from Satan, hell or the grave but from the hills. Come on now say it and reaffirm it “ My help cometh from the Lord.” That right, the one who made heaven and earth. OK!
Lord; help me to see that all creatures of God are good and worthy to be received
Show us how to receive our gift with thanksgiving instead of complaining.
Open our hearts to see that You have already sanctified it by your Word.
And teach us to remember the prayer you prayed that our joy might be full.
Alleluia! Thank you for my complete strength and total wholeness.
Glory be to God for the provision that provided for me.
My Help!!! Amen.
